Trampoline Development History

The trampoline originated in medieval France. At first, the French acrobat Du Tamborine made various bounces in the safety net hanging in the air, and used it to perform, and the trampoline started with this.
In 1930, the trampoline was introduced to the United States by American George Nissan. Starting from the entertainment value and sports characteristics of the trampoline, the trampoline was researched and improved to make it safer and easier to bounce. After that, he established his own trampoline company and mass-produced the restructured trampoline. When this new type of trampoline appeared, it was first used by the U.S. Air Force as a military training equipment, and was soon used by space research institutions to train pilots and astronauts. Medical units soon used this device for the treatment and rehabilitation of the disabled. Soon, the trampoline was loved by teenagers for its unique fun and fitness features.
In 1947, the first national trampoline exhibition competition was held in Texas, USA.
In 1948, the first trampoline championship was held in the United States. So far, the trampoline has been included in the official competition. After that, the Swiss Kurt Bechler and the British Ted Blake took the lead in introducing the trampoline to Europe.

In 1998, the International Trampoline Federation disintegrated. Since then, the trampoline event has been managed by the International Gymnastics Federation. In August, the National Sports Commission of China issued the "Notice on Developing Trampoline Sports in my country", and decided to add trampoline competitions starting from the Ninth National Games in 2001.
